HIGH POINT’S HIGH POINTS

It’s been over a month since we returned from High Point for the October market, and we’re still talking about it.

It had been years since we went last, and it was a breath of fresh air to see so many custom, handcrafted, local, thoughtful companies and people showing up to design, centering compassion AND aesthetics.

From the Expert pop up at Thayer Coggin’s family home designed by Milo Baughman (now owned by PRB, an incredible vintage source right here in NC), crashing the spaghetti family dinner at Cisco and snooping in their factory, visiting new and old friends at the excellent new and old Cohab space, going to Amy Astley’s talk (and meeting her brilliant self after — what a moment) and witnessing all of the incredible artists and designers present their beautiful and thoughtful work at 313 space, our pride in living in North Carolina has exploded exponentially — a place where a commitment to craft is a huge piece of what makes this part of the country so rich and alluring.

With the holidays coming up in just a millisecond, we are supporting as many local, craft-driven, small businesses and makers as we can in this region.
